South America Regional Series has gathered over 500 attendees, 195 institutions and 170 technical papers

The most traditional discussion forum for users of engineering simulation software in South America has been regionalized this year and was held also in Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The reason that led ESSS regionalize the event is to make easier the access to the latest advances in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to a larger number of users.

Adding up the numbers obtained in the four countries, the event was attended by over 500 users from 195 institutions and more than 170 technical papers were presented. These numbers represent an increase of approximately 60% over the highest attended edition, held in 2010.

“The results obtained with the regionalization fully met the organization expectations”, says Clovis Maliska Jr., ESSS president, who believes the South America Regional Series implementation has shown that ESSS is on the right course to increase even more the presence of the engineering simulation community on ANSYS Conference & ESSS Users Meeting.
