Fluid Flow Analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics

  General Objective

The course "Fluid Flow Analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics" has been designed to help engineers and product designers solve real engineering problems and obtain a high return from the capabilities available on commercial software tools through the application of modeling and simulation best practices.

  Methodology

This extension course includes the theory and the practical activities required to cover a broad range of topics, from basic physical concepts to advanced computational modeling techniques. The focus of the course is on practical training of professionals, using the associated theory as a tool for understanding. The course includes classes in the ESSS' training rooms and e-learning techniques.

  Disciplines

• Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics
• CFD Introduction: From Fundamentals to Industrial Applications
• Turbulent Flows: Fundamentals and Computational Modeling
• Multiphase Flows: Fundamentals and Computational Modeling
• Reactive Flows and Combustion: Fundamentals and Computational Modeling

  Teaching Staff

The teaching staff is formed by a highly-skilled team of professors from ESSS and guests from higher education institutions with a strong experience in teaching, research, extension, and consulting. Professionals from the industrial sector also will give seminars to align the course with the needs of the market.
