Pruebas y Simulaciones: Garantía de Competitividad en el Sector Automotriz

ESSS enfatiza la importáncia del modelamiento multifísico enn el desarrollo de vehículos en evento promovido por SAE Brasil

Dr. Cesareo de La Rosa Siqueira representó ESSS en evento realizado en Centro de Convenciones Milenium, en São Paulo.

The Multiphysics Modeling Importance in the Development of Vehicles was the approach from ESSS at the symposium Tests and Simulations: Ensuring Competitiveness on Automotive Sector, held by SAE Brazil, on September 14, in Sao Paulo. The event has gathered more than 150 tests and simulation experts from companies as Ford, Volkswagen, General Motors, Peugeot, Citroën, Toyota, and Mitsubishi.

Cosponsored by ESSS, the symposium was held to demonstrate how testing and simulations are crucial on the vehicle development process and how the automotive companies have been using these computing technologies to gain competitiveness.

The ESSS’ Business Manager, Dr. Cesareo de La Rosa Siqueira says the multiphysics modeling can be directly applied in the automotive industry, increasing the quality and representation of the computer models developed. “The key motivation for the analysis of any kind of engineering project, and particularly in vehicles, is multiphysics. In other words, strongly-coupled physical phenomena from structural, fluid and electromagnetic origin are always present in the vehicle development process. Furthermore, these phenomena are often ignored and this can lead to considerable errors in the process. Fortunately, with current the tools, this effect can be minimized”.

In this way, ESSS offers to the automotive sector a wide range of tools and simulation services, covering computational fluid dynamics, structural analysis, multidisciplinary optimization, electronic design automation and automotive painting, he adds. "The Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools combined with the ESSS’ technical skills provides engineers and designers possibilities to accelerate the decision making process, to reduce production costs and to develop of high quality and reliability products.
