Imago RelP Images: Aims: The high costs and great difficulty to study and predict oil flow behavior inside natural reservoirs by using experimental methodologies make the numerical simulation become a mandatory tool in this area. The numerical simulation allows, with the use of appropriate mathematical models and inside the characterization parameters’ precision, to predict the multiphase flow of water-oil-gas in the reservoirs, helping geologists and engineers to know and improve reservoir characterization. One of the parameters of rock characterization is the relative permeability, which describes in quantitative form the interaction of two fluids in a flow process. This property is one of the most important parameters to be studied in a reservoir, and its accurateness is a determinant factor in the production behavior prediction of an oil reservoir.
